There is just something about baby giraffes that we love so, so much. Maybe it's the fact that they are still huge when they are born. Maybe it's how clumsy they are. Maybe how curious. Either way, we want one. Or ten.

And this is exactly why, some day, we will end up on the news or in the hospital for some absolutely ridiculous reason. Because if we saw this out there in the wild, we would try to pet it. No thought for the mother being around, no thought of danger at all. The only thoughts would be: “Oooh cute," and then, “Ouch.”
